Mount Konocti view

The view of the lake was breathtaking! Our unit was a little dated but was very cozy and comfortable. There are other units on the property that are more updated and absolutely awesome! Unit 8 and the house next door are what l’m referring too. Our neighbor Ron was so friendly my husband and l really enjoyed his company. Mo our cleaning staff was absolutely the most nicest people l ever met. She made me feel right at home and got us checked in with ease. The owner and l had great communication and l definitely will book again whenever we are in Clearlake.

The unit is really cute. The problem is that it was really cold and we could not heat the place up. The small wall heater only had one side working and then it died an hour after we arrived. The portable heater in the bedroom was not effective. We needed to literally be one foot away to feel any heat. We had two pairs of pants and socks and our outside jackets on and were still cold. We ended up leaving in the morning, not staying the 2 nights we had paid for. We had to leave as soon as we could in the am b/c it was just freezing. Unless they have gotten different heaters for the place, I would NOT recommend staying.

WE had a really nice time. The bungalow was very cute and had everything we needed. (it would have been great to have a frying pan and a saucepan but we made do.) There is a little enclave of about 7 cottages and the best part was having Ron and Paul as our resident hosts. They regaled us with some great stories and were there for us if we needed anything. The common space by the lake provided a social time that enhanced our experience. Too bad the lake is so low, but we had some fun excursions to the Knockti Lodge and the Blackberry Festival in Middletown. We had a great two days.

Great place with a killer view.

We wanted to have a quiet new year's eve. So when we saw this property, we thought it was perfect. Except that the pics shown and what we encountered were not the same. The owner claims that the bed is comfy. It is not. It was squeaky and kept us up all night. The whole apartment smelled musty as we walked in. There was one small two seater that wasn't comfortable. Although the place the clean, we were very disappointed and ended up leaving the next morning instead of the two nights and three days we wanted to spend. We were quite uncomfortable.

I have three main points I really want to get across: 1. For the price, it's unbeatable value in this area 2. Even if it wasn't incredibly cheap, everything is super clean, and the host was really friendly - but not intrusive like some airbnb/homeaway hosts I've run into. 3. I don't know if it's Clear Lake, or this house, but something magical about the area I'm not quite sure how to express in writing. Definitely something you need to experience for yourself. I'll definitely be back. Pro Tip: you want to check out the Wright Peak Summit and Indian Nature Trails. So gorgeous!

Remote and calm property with a GORGEOUS view from back deck. Great for helping you in getting good activities/excursions, although lounging around the house is just as fun. Plenty of space, clean beds, and great response from the host. Would not have minded to stay a few days extra :)

I stayed here with my fiance, and it was the perfect place. Ben was great, and answered all of our questions promptly. I would highly recommend!
