Very comfortable apartment in a great neighborhood. Owners were very responsive to a problem we had.
My 10 year old son and I stayed here. The loft is filled with books, music and art. It is a very large and comfortable space with cafes and restaurants just feet from your door. There is a wonderful covered patio for lounging outdoors while still being protected from the elements. We were there during the hottest week of the year and had wished there was air conditioning in the living area, but there was air conditioning in the bedrooms and it was all fine. If you are looking for a wonderful and comfortable home like stay, this is your place. The owners were helpful and available and based on the items in their loft are some of the coolest cats in Rome. We loved it and you will too.
We visited with a family of 4; two kids 8 and 14. For us, the apartment was absolutely perfect. There are two real bedrooms. The kids bedroom has a sleeping loft which my kids loved. The apartment is clearly the owners house most of the year. In my opinion, the owners have great taste in art and decorations. It was lovely just to sit around in their apartment. I wish my house looked as nice. On top of that, the location is great. The tiny square outside has 4 restaurants, and all the shops you need are within ~150 meters. The bedrooms face the square. The square is noisy till late, but both bedrooms have good windows , solid shutters, and drapes. In addition, for summer time (when we visited), both bedrooms have high quality (quiet) air conditioning. Also, being on the second floor (american, i.e. two flights of steps up) there is good cross ventilation. Plenty! of nice dishes and cutlery of all kinds. (Though I never did find the lids to the pans .. ) The porch is a great place to eat or relax. Really, I have no complaint at all. And the owners were very nice.
Our stay in this flat was everything we could have wanted! Perfect location, nice hosts and a lovely, well-equipped aartment! Would highly recommend it!
Imagine a friend gave you the keys of her apartment in Rome. You climb two flights of stairs and reach a large apartment with two bedrooms, two baths, a spacious living-room, and a welcoming terrace. The living-room, adorned with antique furniture, is lined with an extensive collection of books and CDs, the walls embellished with real art works. There is a washing machine in one of the bathrooms. This is a feel-good place, not a tourist apartment. As such, it also has its quirks, such as an old dark kitchen (but most of us don't come to Rome to cook.) The location in the Trastevere is both a plus and a minus. The Trastevere is quaint and lovely but full of tourists, and while the terrace is wonderfully quiet, the other side of the apartment suffers from street noise due to restaurants and bars. However my husband and I were surprised to see how quickly we got used to it. This is Rome, not Montana, and Rome is full of life. We were very happy in this welcoming nest and would recommend it to our friends.
Thank you so much Federica for your warm welcome. Your apartment is really an oasis in Rome. Located in very nice Trastevere area surrounded by nice bars, restaurants and shops, you will enjoy relaxing after a long day visiting Rome in this place. The terrace is fantastic to cool down after the day and escape a bit the life of the town. All equipped, special atmosphere with all the books and CDs - we felt like being at home. Perfect for our family break. We will for sure come back !
