This was a great place to stay. The host had great communication and everything was as described. This is a very comfortable home….great bedding, clean bathroom with great water pressure in the shower, relaxing living space(that sofa!!), and everything you need for cooking, and the stocked coffee bar is a nice touch! The home is perfectly located and within walking or biking distance to many great restaurants(Wicked Chiken and Damascus Diner?), and all your Creeper Trail needs. We will definitely be back!
The suite was nice and clean. The only slight drawback was the size of the spare/guest bedroom. There wasn't a lot of room to move around with luggage. That wasn't a significant problem, though. Overall, we would stay there again. The Creeper Trail was awesome! We'll definitely be coming back to do that again during the Fall.
Very relaxing, well furnished and well stocked! Great location, we parked the car and didn’t move it all weekend except to go to some hiking spots nearby. Lovely time all around!
Cute little place right on the AT and Creeper Trail. Walkable to everything. Clean and inviting. They let us in a few hours early so that was super helpful and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Would def stay here again.
Thanks
This was a cute place located in a very scenic small town that is centrally located to many outdoor activities. We were able to hike, bike, and enjoy SWVA easily from here. The Bike Station is right across the street which made renting bikes for the Creeper Trail and catching the shuttle up to Whitetop very convenient. I would stay here again just for this!! Theres even a couple places to stop on your bike and get lunch on your way into Damascus. Its not far from Abingdon where there are more restaurants and shopping if you need more than what is in Damascus. The place itself was well appointed and fairly clean, except for the shower which had some black mold and scuzzy spots on the walls. Maybe spend a few extra minutes cleaning the shower since its so small and you cant help but be face to face with the scum. The little deck with the lights outside was a nice touch and a great place to relax in the evenings. The couch was super comfortable! I almost slept on it cause I found it to be so cozy and more comfortable than the bed. I wish I could have brought that couch home with me!! There was a big spacious kitchen that we really didn't use but if you need to cook, I'm sure this would have been a nice space for it. We spent most of our time adventuring so we really only came here to shower and sleep but I would definitely recommend staying here. You are within an hour from Grayson Highlands State Park, The Channels, the Blue Ridge Parkway, the AT, and Grandfather Mountain, and we were able to visit all of them. Great trip! Thanks for letting us stay!
My husband and I had a great stay at Lodge 1759..... it is a fabulous location. We were able to walk to do shopping and dining. Major bonus *We were able to bike and jump onto the Creeper Trail. The Lodge was very well equipped And beautifully decorated. Outside sitting was perfect to chill at night and have your morning coffee - we will return - thank you
Right in the middle of Damascus. Really neat and adorable place. Walkable for all of our needs and the place itself was perfect. Would recommend to anyone exploring the area.
This was a perfect spot for anything Damascus. The location is perfect for walking to anything you might want to do in town. It is also just a few tenths from the Creeper Trail, and then from there, trail access. The house was equipped everything we needed.
Beautiful place. Exceeded expectations. Very clean and tasteful remodel in the heart of town. Would definitely stay here again.
