We loved Villa Batticuore! The view was spectacular! The location was perfect! Just what we had hoped for! Thank you for having everything we needed! You made the booking very easy and smooth. All the detailed information we needed you provided.
Enzo met us with prosecco. What a great start to a great week in Positano! Can't say enough. We were there October 7 to 15. The weather was 70s every day. The apartment was super. Enzo was helpful when needed. We spent time preparing snacks to enjoy on the terrace overlooking the Meditterean. Grocery and restaurants were all close at hand. Lots of shopping for whatever you want to purchase. The apartment was super. Room to move around. Bed was comfortable. Lots of seating on the terrace. We had a couple of outings - Pompeii by car and driver (local) and a boat trip to Amalfi.
Enzo and his son were super nice and accomodating. The view from the balcony was amazing and we enjoyed the location in relation to the town.
Villa Batticuore was perfect for us. Access door right on Viale Pasitea (no additional steps). It was quiet but an excellent location; an easy (and very beautiful) walk from the pedestrian area. The rooms were more than fine, maybe a bit quirky on decorating, but that was no bother at all. Not sure what the swimmer/diving guy hanging from the ceiling, but we had a laugh about it. The terrace and view was magnificent. Bathroom was excellent, hot water was great, AC worked fine. No complaints at all. None. It was a wonderful place to stay. Felt very representative of local life, and that's what we wanted. I'm thankful that people like these open their places up for people like us. It was easy to work with Enzo [the caretaker]. Your team at Summer In Italy were responsive and the communications you provided were very helpful. You all were excellent and I will recommend you to anyone I know who is thinking of going and staying in Italy. And if I am fortunate enough to go back, I will be using your terrific service.
Villa Batticuore was perfectly located. It is right on the main street (Viale Pasitea) of Positano, but far enough up the hill that it' not bothered by noise. The front door is on the street, so there are no additional steps to get to the villa, which makes it easy with luggage. The view from the veranda is wonderful and peaceful. The interior was very nice and well appointed; they have everything you need. There are some nice restaurants close by and a wonderful little grocery down the hill about 3 or 4 minutes. It only takes about 8 - 10 minutes to walk down to the main shopping area and the walk never gets old; always breathtaking. I highly recommend Villa Batticuore.
We had a wonderful time. The views are spectacular and the convenience of having the door on the road so we did not have to lug luggage was great. Easy 10 minute walk to the beach. It was also very quiet except for Saturday night when someone very drunk was yelling and banged on the door at 3 in the morning. Summer In Italy was very professional and accommodating.
Villa Batticuore is in the absolute perfect location. It is right off the road but has a breathtaking view. It’s right by many shops, restaurants, and there are a few markets nearby. It was also so much bigger than I was expecting and had everything that you could possibly need. If we come back to Positano, I would absolutely stay here again. Summer In Italy was wonderful. Extremely helpful and always quick to reply to any questions that I had. I felt very taken care of.
POSITANO Pros: Very cozy town with a lot of nice alleys with many interesting buildings and details. We really enjoyed the steps: they make it an exciting challenge moving around and exploring the town – and it's good exercise. The climate is very pleasant, and the beaches are enticing. In some shops and bars the service is friendly. Cons: Too much traffic with too little consideration of pedestrians. Shopping groceries is very limited – there is only one good shop, however this is on Piazza Cappella which is not easily accessible. In some shops and bars the service is delivered with an unbecoming undertone of arrogance which simply is not suited for a town dependent on tourism. THE APPARTMENT Pros: Fantastic view! Very nice balcony with sun the most of the day. Cons: Impractically decorated. Very messy. The kitchen is poorly equipped with very low quality equipment, most of it worn out and unusable. A lot of overdue leftovers. Considering how little it would take to make the flat suitable for rent, e.g. cleaning the kitchen and supply usable equipment, it's simply incomprehensible that it has not been done.
Villa Batticuore is amazing! It is located in the perfect spot on the winding streets of Positano. You are just far away enough from all the busy tourists, but close enough that walking to shops, restaurants, and the beach was a breeze. The kitchen is tiny, but perfect for just two of us, we used it mostly for breakfast and some appetizers at the end of the day. We cooked one simple meal during our one week stay and it was perfect. It may not be as accommodating if you are cooking large meals. The house is clean and had everything we needed for the week. The highlight is the beautiful terrace with a breathtaking view! The pictures do not do this view justice! We also appreciated the walk-in from street level accessibility. Our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful in providing us with maps and tips on getting around, and what we should make sure to see during our visit. It was nice having a contact person always available, which made it very convenient to ask questions or for information. It was also a nice surprise to have a glass of Prosecco on our arrival! We never booked with Summer In Italy before this trip, but the whole process was very simple and we appreciated all the information about the rental prior to arrival, such as tips that tourists need to know, especially for anyone who might be visiting the country for the first time.
This apartment was perfect for our one week stay in Positano! We had never been to the Amalfi Coast before and were not sure what to expect as far as locations of shopping, nightlife, restaurants, etc. This apartment is in the most ideal location! We had a small delicatessan within a quick walk away to get some basic items for the house. We used some cut-throughs on the stairs to get down to the beach quickly (up is a little more difficult, but not bad at all!). About a 15-minute walk to the beach if you use the road. Lots of wonderful restaurants all around. We appreciated that this apartment has it's entry right from the street! Our hosts were waiting for us with a glass of Prosecco! The view of the apartment is amazing. The pictures do not capture the beauty enough. We will definitely be back to Positano and would difinetly rent this apartment again. Some other tips: pay the extra for a boat tour (instead of ferry) to go to Capri for the day. The tour was a wonderful way to spend a day (about 8 hours). Seeing Capri from the boat which takes you all the way around the island, stopping at some really wonderful little places of interest that you will not get from the ferry ride. You also have the opportunity to pay for and see the Blue Grato on the boat tour. Another highlight to our trip was a cooking class with Marina in Cucina. We had a blast drinking wine and learning how to make an authentic Italian meal using local ingredients. Best anniversary get-away yet!! Love love love Positano!!
