The apartment is a great place to relax after a day of exploring Asheville or as an alternative to a motel on a business trip.

Apartmemt was perfectly located to downtown. Home was quiet & clean. I really enjoyed my stay.
My husband and I were looking for a one-bedroom, dog-friendly place to stay for a 3-night visit in Asheville, and this was the perfect place for that. The apartment was clean and attractive. It was nice having our car so close (we parked in the garage) for being able to load and unload for our day-trips hiking--much easier than if we stayed at a hotel and had to go back and forth to a parking lot. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe. It was also a nice road to walk our dog up to the local school for potty times. There was a lot provided in the apartment: sheets, towels (bath and kitchen!), paper towels, coffee, tea, sugar, dishes, utensils, appliances like a microwave, hot plate, tea kettle, coffee maker, clothes washer and dryer, and more. I actually packed more than I needed to because I'm used to rental properties not providing as much. The location made it easy for us to take day-trips hiking at Pisgah or Dupont, then come back to freshen up before heading downtown for dinner. We didn't spend much time in the apartment beyond sleeping, eating breakfast, and resting before dinner, but that's just what we wanted. If I wanted to stay somewhere with a view to spend most of my time, I would look elsewhere, but this was a perfect place for the type of trip we wanted.
Property was equipped as stated.
Cozy, clean, and comfortable. Marilyn and Del are amazing and made me feel at home. Great location. Nice quiet neighborhood.
Perfect little spot for our long weekend with our puppy. Clean and comfortable.
Very nice place and within a few miles of downtown Asheville. This garage apartment is clean and uncluttered with all the conveniences needed to stay a day or a week. The owners are friendly and helpful to answer questions or recommend a restaurant! The only negative is the mattress which definitely needs to be replaced.
overall great location--near downtown--only $7.50 Uber ride to downtown Asheville. sweet and simple property. nothing fancy, which was fine with us but everything you would need to be comfortable. our dog loved it and was very relaxed. Owners very accommodating, even had cold beer in the fridge. property very clean. would use it again.
We had a great stay at Dash's Den. It was easy to find and a great location for getting around in Asheville. We landed late and arrived on a very cold night. We were so happy when we arrived and the heater was already on in the home. Thank you!!! The bed dipped a bit in the middle when my husband and I were in it, but it was otherwise comfortable, and the linens were super soft. Thank you for providing laundry supplies and general utensils! The wifi stopped working halfway through our stay, so that was a little frustrating. The owner's husband stopped by and provided us with some excellent restaurant suggestions. We tried a few and loved them!! Thank you for having us!!
This is a detached, garage apartment with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, full kitchen, TV and dining area with a 1 car garage, perfect for 2 people. It is also pet friendly for a small, additional fee. It is only minutes to Downtown, Biltmore Village, River Arts District, and Biltmore Estate.
This was the perfect spot for our short stay in Asheville. We were visiting our daughter and basically needed a place to sleep and shower. Dash's Den is extremely clean and located in a quiet neighborhood with quick and easy access to downtown. We didn't need to prepare any meals, but the kitchen appeared to have enough appliances to do simple cooking. Super easy check-in and check-out, plus quick refund of deposit. We will definitely stay here again.
This was our second stay at Dash's Den. The location of perfect for our needs. The suite is well equipped for a short or long stay. The bed is very soft (I prefer a firm bed), but we were comfortable. The owners are very personable and accommodating. We would recommend Dash's Den, and will probably stay there again, mainly because of its proximity to our Asheville family.
The unit is well kept, but should have been better stocked. We had to ask for another roll of toilet tissue, also some salt & pepper. He immediately produced the things requested.Dryer was not working, but a replacement had been ordered, and owner offered to dry our clothes. There is a mini drying rack on the wall near the washing machine. So, I used it. We felt safe, but the neighborhood is on the decline. My main complaint is the garage. It definitely is a plus to be able to park your car into a closed garage, but it was very cluttered. We only drive a Honda CRV, and walkway on both sides and in front were very limited. The place is modestly priced and centrally located. So, with the inconveniences we had, it was still worth it. ZR from Little Rock, AR
The Den was great! It was clean, we felt safe, and it was a nice quiet street for sleeping. Would definitely stay again if we go back!
Dash's Den is very conveniently located to anywhere we wanted to go in the Asheville area. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. There's adequate storage for personal items during your stay. The kitchen is adequate for preparing meals for one or two. It's great to have a washer and dryer there. The baseboard heaters really kick out heat! A nice place to stay for a fraction of the price of a hotel or B&B.
My wife a dog stayed for the weekend and enjoyed everything. The house is located just a few minutes from downtown (Uber $7.28) well worth the money. The apartment was very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. It was very cold during our last night but the small heater worked great, almost too well. Would recommend to anyone, the apt was very inexpensive comparative to a hotel room. Highly recommend Curate for lunch or dinner. Great food!
Spotlessly clean, well maintained, with everything one could ask for such as wifi, tv, and cooking appliances. Thank you for a lovely place to enjoy a mountain getaway. We plan on coming back for a longer stay next time and have raved to all of our friends about Dash's Den.
We had a great stay at this property in Asheville. We spent a lot of time downtown and this was located for us to zig zag back and forth throughout the day. This was a comfortable, clean "home base" for us and we would definitely stay here in the future!
We arrived to find everything as described. It was very easy to find from the airport and really closer to town then we had expected. The owners were sweet and helpful. They take pride in their property with small touches like a bubbling water feature, garden statues and blooming flowers in all colors. The bed was soft and comfy. We didn't do any cooking but who would with all the great restaurants nearby? Everything was very clean. This location is a great place to use as a jump point to enjoy all that the area has to offer. We needed the washer and dryer after some muddy hikes and river tubing. Internet was not cooperative on any device other than our laptop.
This was perfect for our one week stay. We felt right at home, and did not lack a thing. Access to the back garden was a bonus! Would recommend, and would stay here again!
Dash's Den was a sweet, cozy place to stay. For our first time using VRBO, everything went very smoothly. Prompt email responses, etc. And when we arrived, we found the apartment very clean, well kept, very nicely stocked. It was wonderful having a washer/dryer there, it certainly made our stay easier. The owners were kind and very helpful with everything. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality.
Great place and location. Perfect for 2 and maybe 1 small child. Great access to downtown Asheville and West Asheville. 15 minutes to Biltmore or Grove Park Inn. We were able to cook some meals. No cable TV but we weren't there that much anyway. Clean and also has a washer/dryer.
My boyfriend and I stayed two nights in December 2014 for a Christmas visit to Asheville to see my family. The rental is in a good location - an easy drive to wherever we wanted to go. It was also spacious and very clean. Perfect for two people. The rental owner was very responsive. I would stay here again and I'd also recommend to other couples looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay in Asheville. The only thing I didn't like was the shower didn't stay hot too long but maybe it's because I'm just used to long showers. Overall, we had a good stay.
Quiet, clean, warm and cozy. Lots of privacy. Comfortable bed and all of the amenities I needed. Would definitely recommend!!
Great location to visit the Biltmore (10 minutes away), Blue Ridge Parkway or Chimney Rock. Had all the essentials - every kitchen utensil we could want and a washer/dryer with laundry soap and fabric softener. I do not like the cold, so was pleased to discover our rental heated up quickly - within just a few minutes! Owner also allowed us to park in the garage, so we did not have to freeze while we were packing/unpacking. Overall, simple but functional, which was perfect for us!
We had been looking for an alternative to hotels in Asheville, since we visit family there often, and Dash's Den was a good discovery and a great deal. Although the owners were not in residence, we had no trouble getting into the apartment and found it very comfortable. Everything you need is provided, and there's much more room and privacy than in a hotel. Being able to put the car in the garage was very handy, too. We'll definitely plan to stay there again.
Two of us stayed at this very comfortable apartment. It worked great for a place to land each evening after our days adventure around Asheville. We met with the owner and he offered any assistance or suggestions during our stay. There is so much to see and experience in the Asheville area. The location was within easy access to several tourist attractions such as the Biltmore Estate, downtown Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway and the West Asheville Farmers Market to mention a few. We will return when the opportunity arises and hopefully we can stay here again. Thank you for having such a great place to stay for a great price.
We enjoyed three nice quiet nights here, with our car parked inside in the garage. It is situated on a quiet street about 10 minutes from downtown Asheville N.C. Everything was clean and in good repair. Marilynn was a gracious host and provided hints on where to eat etc...... We look back to returning someday 1
My wife and I stayed for 8 nights. The property is in an older residential area which is very quiet. It also is on the west side of a hill, which means that the morning sun does not intrude when sleeping in - very nice. You pull your car into the garage and then step through the door into the apartment. When backing out you should lower your window so that you can hear if a car is approaching from the driver's side as you can see fairly well to the right. The price makes Dash's Den an attractive option if you aren't planning on staying at the apartment, but will use it as a base from which to tour the area. If you must have a mountain view when you open the curtains, this is not your place. However, downtown Asheville and the River Arts District are very convenient, as is I-240 and I-26, yet they are far enough away so that you never hear them at all. So, you're away from the busy highways, yet they are convenient. The refrigerator, washing machine and dryer work very well. The two-burner stove is a little tricky to use (turn on the timer to get the burners to heat). But, if you're cooking simple meals, like eggs for breakfast, etc. it does the job. The electric skillet works perfectly, as do the coffee maker, can opener and toaster. The microwave is a medium power unit, entirely adequate. The TV works fine; there are, however, only 5 channels, no cable. TV isn't good for you anyway... I can recommend the property to anyone who wants an inexpensive place to stay. It's compact and convenient. If you want fast food it's 6 blocks away, a little further and you can find sit-down restaurants, or you can with a little effort cook your own.
The place had a good space and set up! It was nice to have the garage for our car, and the amenities included made it feel like you were at home. My wife, our dog, and I really enjoyed our time here.
just as others had described. Great home base. clean and comfortable. close to everything ashville. will stay here again!!
The garage apartment was decent basic apartment near to Asheville which made it convenient. The place has what you need for light cooking and taking care of laundry which is nice if you are staying for a while. The bed is a little soft, but otherwise everything was clean.
I was happy at this location, it was quiet, clean, and in a convenient location. Marilyn was very helpful!
This apartment was complete with a lovely bedroom, nice bathroom/shower, and a comfortable living room/kitchen area. The washer and dryer were a nice plus! It was very clean and supplied with most things you would need to stay there. I stayed 3 nights and felt very safe and comfortable. I would love to stay here again and recommend highly.
Very quaint and nice! Very close to Downtown and the Arts District!
The owner communicated with me in a timely manner, everything was above what was expected. The owner went above and beyond what is "just in the contract" or whatever is "just going to make a buck" and truly valued the customer. Excellent. Will be back when in the area again.
A lot of thought went into making the apartment comfortable and functional. Everything was clean, fresh, and lovely.
We spent 4 nights in Dash's Den. This is a nice location as it is close to both downtown as well as the Haywood area of West Asheville. My wife and I didn't spend much time in this rental as we stayed preoccupied with the fantastic restaurants and breweries of Asheville as well as some really terrific hiking in the Appalachians. Wifi did work nicely for phones, iPad and the Amazon Fire TV.
Good bed and shower. Could use more pans and utensils. VCR better than TV. Like the laundry!
Me and my mom enjoyed our annual girls weekend and Dash's Den immensely. It is is a great location (about 10mins from anywhere) in Asheville. The owner of the property was extremely helpful when we ran into car trouble and really went above and beyond. We will definitely be back!
We had a great time during our stay in Asheville. It is awesome to be able to park in the garage,. The only thing that I would note is if you drive a large vehicle, parking is tight. We were in a crew max Tundra and couldn't park in the garage. Which, of course, was not the owners fault. The rooms were clean and just as pictured. It was nice and quiet as well. The local Gold's gym was just a couple minutes away and so was Krispy Kreme!
