This comfortable and sunny two-bedroom apartment is perfectly located along one of Seattle's historic boulevards, in a nationally recognized historic district. Abandon your car! The popular Light Link Rail System is less than a ten minute walk away. The Light Link rail connects to Sea-Tac Airport, downtown, Capital Hill, the Stadium and International Districts, Columbia City, and the University District. Back at the apartment, you can enjoy short strolls along the historic Mount Baker Boulevard to Lake Washington's parkways, with a network of connecting trails and staircases exploring the adjacent forests and hillsides. You are within walking distance of several coffee shops and local restaurants. Bicycling quickly takes you to the protected bike lane on the I-90 floating bridge, and on to Mercer Island. Mount Baker is the perfect location for your next Seattle visit.
This apartment is a modern renovated downstairs unit in a Craftsman home built in 1908, with semi-private back yard entrance. Ample windows allow lots of light, and the living space features a modern kitchen, a laundry room, two bedrooms (one with a queen and the other a full-size bed), and an open area for living and dining. The living area couch pulls out into a small sleeper.
Guests should avoid unreasonable noise out of respect for neighbors, and the residents living above the unit.
Enjoyed our stay. Having the property manager on the property made it easy to get the few questions we had answered. Nice apartment with good amenities.
We had a great time here. The kitchen and bathrooms were super updated and clean. The living space was just fine for our family of four. We loved the neighborhood and could walk to lots of places:)
Great little place for our family of 4. Very easy walk to everything you could want/need, especially with two little ones under 5. Thanks for having us! Would book again for sure.
This apartment was perfect for our family to share a holiday with family in the neighborhood. Living space is well designed and furnishings are attractive. We needed more blankets and the hosts provided them right away. Really appreciate the sense of hospitality!
We stayed here for several days while working on a project in downtown Seattle. Location for us was great, close to downtown in a nice neighborhood. The apartment is very clean and neat. Shower is awesome! We would definitely stay here again if the need arises and I would recommend this apartment for anyone visiting the Seattle area for sightseeing, etc. Easy check in and check out, zero problems with anything just exactly what we needed. Thanks!
Perfect size for us. Nice neighborhood. Close to light rail which we used to go travel throughout downtown Seattle and visit Columbia City.
Enjoyed our stay. Place was close to public transportation, also grocery store and restaurants. Clean and comfortable.
Easy access to the link light rail from and to SeaTac airport and also to Pike Place Market. Clean, beautiful and comfortable accommodations. So much better than one hotel room for my sister and I. A charming neighborhood to walk with access to Starbucks or MioPosto restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Our Lyft driver even returned my forgotten eyeglasses in car and Talis passed them back to me. Thanks for everything Talis and Marla!
We so enjoyed our six night stay in this Mt. Baker unit. It is spacious with full kitchen, excellent shower, comfortable bed and lovely neighborhood. It was comfortable for the 2 of us, but can accommodate more. Because it rained while we were there, we didn't get to spend much time in the lovely backyard available. The unit is a short walk to the Link Rail Mt. Baker station or to Lake Washington (Baker Beach). Highly recommend!
Clean and close to restaurants and to the links to Downtown Seattle our hosts were very friendly and outgoing and always available for any help we need. Will recommend to others.
Great location for exploring Seattle. Public transit or cheap Uber/Lyft rides everywhere. Convenient location for airport (SeaTac)
We enjoyed a three-night stay in this beautiful apartment. It’s a basement apartment but doesn’t feel that way because it is so filled with light, with lovely hardwood floors and fully-stocked kitchen and laundry areas. It is very convenient to the Mt Baker light rail station (with a Starbucks on the way) so affords easy access to downtown Seattle. And Bike-share bikes are plentiful. Would definitely stay here again!
We really enjoyed our stay. We were in Seattle for a family wedding and had a great time. So nice to have groceries and gas nearby, very quiet area and the hosts were so quick to help us with any questions or needs we had. Very nice to have an umbrella available! Nicely furnished unit with everything we needed.
This property is delightful. A very comfortable two bedroom in a quiet neighbourhood, although you can walk to restaurants and shops. The apartment was very clean and fully stocked. My favourite part was breakfast in the backyard! The hosts were gracious and helpful. We loved our stay.
Nice lower level apartment. Owners were very pleasant and accommodating. There was an issue with the washer in the apartment and the owners responded by doing a load in their machine for us. Talis called the repairman immediately. Location is great for accessing all that Seattle has to offer. Easy walk to the train and parking on the street was no problem.
Nice place for our family, close park and store nearby. No guaranteed parking but we were able to find spots easily. Hosts were very friendly!
We had a very nice time at this spot. The basement apartment is nicely renovated and very close to the light rail. It is a basement apartment so not a lot of views from the inside, but there is a lovely outdoor backyard area to spend time that feels secluded and is very peaceful. Hosts are non intrusive but very nice as is Georgie the doodle. We would definitely stay here again!
This was a perfect place for my aunt and I to get together and explore a part of Seattle neither of us had been to. The neighborhood is lovely! We took the owner's advice and walked the nearby trails, ate at the suggested restaurant and enjoyed it thoroughly. We took the rail into town to board a ferry to Bainbridge Island and visited the MOHAI during our stay, but really appreciated the feeling of coming "home" to this little apartment which is also within an easy walk to a supermarket, Starbucks and whatever else you need. Definitely recommend and would stay here again!
Pretty much as described , It was walking distance to a supermarket a beach and the light rail . I felt kind of like i was staying at the grandmas house because of the type of furniture , the extra stuff in the closets and the small tv . It was over all fine i would stay here again .
Great location... very comfortable for our family of four. Thank you!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was easy to get to the light rail station or use a ride share to get around Seattle. The apartment was very clean and the check in/out process was easy. The suggestions would be to add a full length mirror or an additional mirror so that two people can get ready at the same time and luggage racks in the bedrooms would be nice so we can keep our luggage off of the floor. Thank you!
Talis and Marla were very friendly and helpful. Their rental is very nice. The place is well equipped -maybe another mirror some place. My only complaint was that we could hear the people upstairs walking around. However, I would stay here again!
We are very pleased with our stay in this property. It’s everything we were expecting and more.
Talis and Marla are friendly and gracious hosts. Very well appointed and spacious apartment in great neighborhood perfect for longer stays. The kitchen is a stunner with ample storage space, fully equipped, and with a full-size refrigerator and professional grade gas stove/oven. We enjoyed the private back yard and convenient walking distance to local restaurants including the charming Mioposto.
Awesome place worked perfectly Good location , clean, highly recommend
Excellent location to many different tourist attractions around Seattle! We didn’t use the bus system but drove our car and got around easily. We parked on the street just down from the rental, a nice, clean, quiet neighborhood! The rental was perfect for our family of 4. Clean and nicely updated! We would definitely stay here again.
I absolutely loved our stay here. It was quiet and relaxing, and within walking distance of many places. The owners really made this feel like home.
This property was extremely clean and the owners were very easy to work with. No need to rent a car to get to downtown or the airport. The light rail is a very short walk from the property. We did rent a car to go to Mt. Rainier for a day and had no problems parking on the street at night. We enjoyed walking in the Mt. Baker neighborhood and to the park at Lake Washington.
Very nice unit. More than enough room for two people. Clean with modern upgrades. Easy short walk (4 mins) to the Light Rail and there’s a Starbucks in between🤗. We did not regret not renting a car. We used light rail, buses and Uber. Easy access to where we wanted to go. The hosts live above you. You’re in the converted basement. Some pitter patter feet when they walk but it wasn’t a problem. The hosts are very nice and responsive. We only saw them once over six days. Nice neighborhood. Felt safe when we walked day or night. Will request to stay again!
This property was larger than advertised which was a welcome surprise to my family. It has two bedrooms in addition to the main room with a living and kitchen area. The on street parking was about 1/2 block away and also easier than I expected. It felt like a safe place to leave our vehicle. We really appreciated the beautiful neighborhood and gardens between this rental and Lake Washington as well as the proximity to the light rail ( a five minute walk) as well as groceries. The owner provided many resources about how to enjoy the surrounding neighborhoods and how to access the rest of Seattle. He was very responsive to any concerns or issues. This is a daylight basement and there are people living upstairs... but for the most part it was fairly quiet. We had access to a nice sitting/dining area in the back yard. The kitchen is nicely updated with new appliances and was a great place to make meals so that we could save some money on our visit. I would stay here again.
Coming from TEXAS we wanted to explore everything Washington State. This cozy apartment made it convenient, due to its location and amenities. We are a family of four with two teenage boys. The space while compact, was just what we needed. Talis and his wife were very hospitable, while also giving us the personal space we needed. They were also very helpful in giving us recommendations on sites to see, places to eat, and driving directions. We definitely would stay there again and will recommend it to friends and family. FXM
This two bedroom apartment had all the amenities we needed for our extended stay. I chose this location because it is relatively close to the main attractions in Seattle as well as our friends in Bellevue. Cute neighborhood for walking.
A nice open layout, room for our two grandkids to have a sleepover one night and a gorgeous back yard. Close to everything.
This apartment was perfect for exploring Seattle with easy access to the light rail Link station. If all you’re doing is visiting Seattle, you really don’t need anything but an Orca card. (Watch out for the hill on McClellan if you’re from a flat part of the country and on foot from the station. It’s not fun to lug luggage up it!) Parking on the street was easy during the weekend but weekdays was always packed. The rental itself was spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything you might need to make yourself at home. The neighborhood is super quiet. There’s a great playground at the park across from the pizza place down the road. The laundry machine came in handy for the dirty clothes our toddler created. Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend it to anyone who was traveling to Seattle. Note: this rental does require a steep deposit fee but it was worth it for the amenities. A couple of comments: the bedrooms really need blackout curtains instead of the shades that are there now. It made it hard to get both our son and ourselves to sleep with the light coming in. It also would have been great to have some guidance on what can be recycled - every city does it differently.
The apartment was spotless with very nice fixtures and appliances, we were pleasantly surprised to find it even had a dishwasher. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood very close to the light rail. We rode the link rail straight from the airport to the Mount Baker Station which is a 5 minute walk to the house. We went downtown everyday using the rail. It was very convenient and super affordable. At night Once we used a Lyft but that was also very affordable, it’s less than 4 miles to Downtown. The owners were very easy to communicate with and the WiFi worked great. The neighborhood uphill from the house has really pretty homes and walking paths down to the water. We also found a grocery store within a 10 minute walk. I would definitely recommend this location for small families and independent travelers who don’t mind staying a little further from the super expensive downtown area. We had a great visit to Seattle with a nice space to come back and relax in at night.
Very comfortable- great neighborhood with short walk to a beautiful park and a few stores.
I enjoyed my stay in this surprisingly peaceful area of Seattle. My hosts were respectful of privacy and the directions in and out were clearly explained. Wi-Fi was simply to connect, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. I am already thinkin about my next visit to this great place!
This place was perfect. So close to the rail that we were able to enjoy our trip to Seattle without having to drive downtown. It was quiet and just a perfect home away from home.
Immaculate, modern and nicely appointed property. Comfortable and clean accommodations. Well stocked home and comfy bed. Pull out couch worked nicely for two kids. Perfect location for us. Close to the park, beach, tennis courts and bus line. Thank you Talis and Marla for being gracious hosts. Will stay here again.
We were very happy with our choice to stay here. We dropped off our rental car because the connections to LINK and other transit made our sight-seeing so quick and easy . The area also offers a great food store, restaurants, and a drug store very nearby. The neighborhood is very walkable and we enjoyed the interesting homes and parks around Lake Washington. The apartment could use a few more items to make the stay a bit more comfortable but we were very happy with the cleanliness and the welcome we received from Talis and Marla. They accommodated our early arrival and greeted us with a pound of coffee. Very much appreciated. We would definitely consider staying here again.
We spent 6 nights in this lovely apartment. The apartment is clean, well equipped and has 2 bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Neighborhood is quiet. Apartment is very conveniently located, with easy access to I90, stores and downtown. Hosts are very responsive and friendly. Highly recommended.
Great time. Owners were very accommodating and friendly
My friend and I stayed at this VRBO the first weekend of June 2017. We were visiting a friend who lives in Columbia City. We found the location very convenient - it's a short walk to the light rail. We also used lyft & uber a lot because we are kind of lazy; it was very easy. There is a full sized grocery store about three blocks away that we were able to walk to. The unit itself was very clean and fit all our needs. There were actually two bedrooms! The beds were comfy and the living space was spacious for the two of us. The kitchen was stocked with all we needed; we only used it to cook breakfast but there were plenty of dishes, silverware and pots and pans if we needed them. The shower was great and there were plenty of towels. The washer/dryer came in handy after we came back from a nature excursion. We did not use the patio table and chairs but we probably would have if we hadn't eaten out so often. The owners were very attentive and responsive to questions. They live upstairs but there was no intrusion on privacy. They left a number of brochures and information about the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend this unit to independent travelers from out of town looking for a cost-effective alternative to a hotel.
It's a wonderful place to stay! Super clean and it has everything that you might need. We could have stayed there for a month! The neighborhood is lovely and in walking distance to parks, a very nice pizza restaurant and a small little market place. Over all we highly recommend this place!
Roomy, clean apartment in lovely, quiet Mt. Baker neighborhood. Easy parking. Hosts were very responsive to questions.
