The Space:
The property is in the heart of Manchesters hipster and bohemian districts of Ancoats and Northern Quarter, known for its challenging, creative and often political wall art. You are also never more than 20 meters from a bar, restaurant or grocery store.
Our Africana Warehouse Boutique Apartment is in a beautifully converted 1830's listed building and was originally used as a factory for the Avro aircraft, used in the first world war. The unique design of the space combines original features with modern, high-end fittings and huge victorian windows. African style is all about reconnecting with nature and its unadulterated magic.
The spacious and luxurious master bedroom boasts a king size bed, fitted with luxurious waffle bedding. The space also contains a large fitted wardrobe and dressing area with downlighting, perfect for getting ready.
Each of the stunning bathroom, tiled in white calcutta marble, includes a huge resin basin with designer taps, wall-to-wall backlit mirrors and exposed beams and steel column ceilings. Fresh linen and an assortment of argon oil shampoo's and conditioner's, soap's and sanitiser's are provided complementary for your use during your stay.
The beautifully crafted open plan kitchen with quartz worktop, allows you to cook and entertain at the same time, as it is interconnected with the dining area. Complete with a breakfast bar, top of the range AEG oven, induction hob and extractor fan that depends from the 15ft heigh original beam ceiling, above the island and breakfast bar. This kitchen provides the perfect high-tech arena in which to show off your cooking skills or simply cook a nice family meal.
There is also a broad selection of tea, coffee and accompanying sugars/sweetners, provide on the house, for you to choose from.
The dining area and lounge is spacious, light and relaxing with views over the communal garden featuring millstones recovered from the original factory. The 8 person solid wood dining table and natural aesthetic of the seagrass light pendants, combines a homage to Manchesters industrial past with Africans more organic approach to living. It is also an excellent work space for those who may be travelling on business.
The living room has a super comfy Sudanese daybed sofa and accompanying armchairs from Dabango. Centred around a 19th century India Dowry chest and Persian style rug, traditionally traded in parts of Northern Africa. The living has an East African Swahili feel to it. Not to go without its mod-cons, it boast a 55" smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime TV access provided as standard.
To the rear of the main living space, nestled neatly behind a 4 panel carved wooden Indian screen partition, is a modern take on the classical style writing desk, sat under a unique Wicker shade from Vietnam, with views into the Northern Quarter. Working from home has never been so good.
Guest Access:
Guests have private access to the whole apartment. A Pure gym is located in a building adjacent to this property and is shared with other members. Membership can purchased from £5 per day or £19.99 per month.
If you are staying for a number of nights, you may need to take the waste out to the waste deposit area out the front of the development.

There are a number of off and on street parking spaces available all around the development.
You can park free of charge on the street in designated bays, between the hours of 20:00 and 18:00.
There is also a CitiPark pay and display car park adjacent to the development, where is costs £11 to park for 24 hours. The full address of this car park is as follows: 1 Port St, Manchester M1 2EG.
You will never be stuck for a place to park your car(s).
