The upstairs Bedroom has a queen and a twin bed. The downstairs has a full kitchen, dining table, sofa-bed, and TV. Free WIFI is available throughout the house, and it has central heat and Air Conditioning.
The off-street parking lot behind the house is a great place to leave your car for your visit, the 1/2 mile walk to downtown is nice and level and mostly along Siskiyou Boulevard.

Perfect for the two of us
We stayed in the Dogwood Suite for 2 weeks while 2 out of 4 of us attended a class. Raliegh is an excellent host. He lives on the property, but we never saw him unless we needed something. Communication was great and any request was promptly provided. We ended up needing to have something overnighted to us and Raliegh was more than happy to help. I highly recommend staying here. We hope to return.
The home was clean and quiet. Great stay!
Overall, this place was great. Very clean and comfortable. The host lives next door and was very helpful/responsive with questions, and even took extra time to help us get the outside heater set up (twice!) for an evening visit in the winter. I would have appreciated more details in the listing, specifically about the fact that the yard is shared with the owners. We were surprised to be greeted by a dog and children playing in the backyard when we arrived and had friends come to visit us outside. This would be nice to know in normal circumstances, even if it's not a big deal, but during COVID this is essential information. To their credit, they left the yard to us so we could visit safely with our friends. And our kids loved their sweet (and small) dog. So it all worked out. Just would have liked a heads up in advance. We still would have booked the place knowing this info, and it did not take away from our stay. More details of a space on the listing would have been appreciated. Honestly, if there had been more options when we were looking, I would not have picked this place, simply because there wasn't much description. The kitchen is a full kitchen, but it is very small. Because we were not eating out, cooking all our meals for 4 was a challenge. I did appreciate that all the basic appliances and cooking utensils were available, but we could have used a little bit more of everything for cooking and eating to accommodate that much cooking. This kitchen is probably all anyone needs during normal vacations, since you're probably eating out and enjoying shows, etc. It's perfectly located. I walked to the downtown plaza in only 15 minutes. It was quiet and felt private. I never heard any noise from next door, so had no issues with the shared aspect, other than what I mentioned before. Overall, great place I would recommend to others.
The location of this home and the charming interior was great. My only complaint of the interior would that there be a firm couch that doesn’t sink in to sit on. Also that internet movie access on the television be available. The exterior courtyard, unfortunately, was not what the pictures depicted. I imagine that is do to the current construction project. To my disappointment and a rude awakening I discovered how it would impact my stay of 2 days. The peaceful retreat I was hoping for wasn’t an option. I needed to adjust my plans to be away while the construction took place during the day. Thankfully, the host was easy to contact and understanding of my disappointment. He agreed to some compensation that I felt was fair. That said, I do believe that the if host would have informed me ahead of time of the on site construction, I could have adjusted my plans to stay at another location and maybe could revisit on my next occasion. I imagine once construction is complete this will be quite a comfortable and peaceful place to stay.
Beautiful place to stay. Great amount of space fo 4 people
Great space in a lovely part of town. Just a short jog to lithia park!
Clean, spacious, great location and easy to get in. We enjoyed our stay
To begin, it was the cleanest lodging I’ve ever stayed in. That includes vacation rentals, hotels, etc. The location was ideal for us. Except for two longer drives, we didn’t get in our car in the eight days we were there. We walked and biked, which was our goal. Communication was prompt, easy, friendly. The moment we figure out our dates for next year, we will book our stay with Raleigh again! Finally, on a personal note, this sweet sanctuary provided us some much-needed solitude, solace, and healing around a recent loss. We’re so grateful we had the time there.
Easy to find and access. Great for a small family and for children. Would stay again.
Nice and clean and quiet
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at this very clean and comfortable home. Access to downtown was easy, and Triangle Park was a nice place to jog. Highly recommended.
It was very quiet. Easy to have a good nights sleep. Kitchen was well equipped. Comfortable in all ways.
Property is in private neighborhood less than a block from a park and the University campus. An easy walk to Ashland theaters. Stayed with our 14-year old grandson. The accommodations provided plenty of room and privacy for all 3 of us. We would stay here again.
Nothing fancy but clean and close to town.
I comfortably stayed here for a month with my husband and toddler. It was a great place to have a child with a cheerful dog and swingset in the yard. The place itself was very clean and cozy with all the ammenities, towels, linens, kitchen supplies, etc you could need for a month stay. It's tucked into a good location with easy parking too.
This is our second time staying in the Dogwood Suite at Tudor House. We love being within walking distance of downtown and to the Shakespeare festival. Our stay was comfortable and pleasant. It now our home away from home in Ashland.
Close to downtown - comfortable bedroom and bath - quiet neighborhood
The Suite had many more amenities than I realized....full kitchen, downstairs totally accessible, and lots of privacy. Beds were comfortable, too.
Our Dogwood stay was perfect for 4 people. House had perfect air conditioning and comfortable beds upstairs. Two great bathrooms made it convenient for multiple guests. It was a little tight for watching movies at the end of the night with only one couch but there were extra chairs packed away in the closet. There was a Safeway almost exactly across the street and we walked to the adorable shops downtown in 20 minutes- with adorable houses to view along the way. Parking was convenient right in back of the house. Would definitely stay again!
This was a good fit for me and my family. It's a small space but just what we needed for our trip to Ashland and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Clean, comfortable and cool in the heat of summer. Would stay here again!
This charming and homey property was ideal for our Ashland/OSF holiday! A brief and lovely walk to downtown and the Festival, the property was clean and well appointed and felt like our home away from home. It's roomy and well lit and situated in a lovely gated garden. The host was communicative and attentive when contacted and provided privacy otherwise. I highly recommend and will return!
This location is a good fit for anyone that wants something close to town, yet quiet and comfortable. I have a bad lower back, and this was one of the most comfortable beds ever. We would definitely return the next time we are in town for the plays.
Just need to fix the kitchen sink so it'd drain.
This place was great. Great location. We found everything we needed in our suite. Would definetly stay again.
I was in town for one week to start a new job and needed a quiet, clean place with all the basic amenities. The price was very reasonable, the unit was clean, comfortable, and very quiet; and I had my own parking and easy access to the unit. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals since I didn't want to eat out every night. The bedroom was warm, clean, with a very comfortable bed. The bathrooms and the showers were also clean and well stocked with towels, and great water pressure with plenty of hot water. I had access to cable TV with plenty of basic channels, and the wifi was fast and problem free. The location is great as well. It's very close to down town and various stores; not walking distance, but very close. Overall, I had a great stay. If you're are looking for a clean, quiet home away from home I think you would enjoy this lovey little house.
Pleasant quiet 1 bedroom off a quiet street. Could sleep a family of 4 and has two bathrooms, but not much space in living room. Kitchen could be better equipped.
Clean and had everything we needed. Excellent location for walking downtown. Safeway a couple blocks away.
We enjoyed the accommodations for two couples, but the down stairs was a little noisy because of the refrigerator. Two bathrooms were a plus and the price was fair. We would stay there again.
We liked being able to walk to the downtown area from this very clean and comfortable apt.
My husband and I stayed at the Dogwood Suite on a weekend in late July. The temperatures outside were in the 90s, but the cottage was very comfortable with separate air conditioning units upstairs and downstairs. Beautifully decorated without being fussy, with ample cooking supplies and utensils for meal preparation. Easy walk to the theater (just under a mile). Just two suggestions for improvement - sharpen the knives, and consider replacing the toaster - it behaved like a naughty two-year-old with bread popping up when it wasn't ready :-)
Some confusion on arrival. Would have been better if someone was there to meet us. lodgings were fine, kitchen, upstairs bedroom, living room all okay except for pull out bed which was not comfortable for sleeping. Front yard was not easy to pass through, tree roots and bad sidewalk made walking at night somewhat difficult
We will be back to stsy here.
The Dogwood Suite accommodated our party of four nicely! Good location, not far from the Oregon Shakespeare Theater playhouses. We walked to the plays. The kitchen was well stocked. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. We appreciated the air conditioning because it was in the 90's during our three day stay. The watercolor paintings on the walls were beautiful. Raleigh was very responsive to my questions. We had a lovely stay!
The Dogwood suite is nicely furnished. Off of a quiet street, it is a perfect place to relax. Just a short walk to town, the Shakepeare Festival, shops and Lithia park. Very much recommended.
The Dogwood Suite has a good amount of space--two levels, two bathrooms. It's a relatively affordable option for more than two people in Ashland. It's centrally located and very clean. We did not use the kitchen, so I can't speak to the quality of the kitchen. The amenities are a little bit on the less-expensive/low-quality side of things, so if you're looking for cool design, nice soaps, and lux bedding and towels, this isn't the place. If you're looking for a clean and fundamentally comfortable place to stay, this will definitely work. There's a nice, shaded backyard too, so if you're in Ashland in the heat of the summer, it would be an oasis. Given what I needed this for (we were in town for a family reunion held elsewhere, but that had run out of available beds), we would definitely stay again.
Comfortable, informal, well maintained, this is an excellent place to stay in Ashland. A pleasant, healthy walk from downtown and theaters, quiet, private. We will return.
Had everything we needed and our daughter loved playing on the swings and slide in the backyard. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet but a very easy walk to all shops and restaurants. Easy parking too! We had a great stay!
This was a great place for one couple and mom. And so close to everything. Definitely recommend. One wish was a comfortable chair to go with the couch. 3 adults watching tv from the couch was tight.
This property is very nice and nicely furnished. Having a bathroom on each floor was especially nice. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom very cozy. The kitchen is a little small, but we enjoyed using the oven so it was worth it. Good refrigerator-lots of space. Once we got the heater figured out, it was easy to keep the temperature just right, but there were no instructions on how to program the heater so it took some trial-and -error(luckily I have a similar system at home). The place was easy to find, easy to get into, great parking space, and very private. We never saw any humans outside and it was very quiet! There is a cute little dog, who says hi then goes back inside.Good location!
We spent three winter nights in the Tudor cottage and were comfortable. Kitchen, 2 bathrooms, an upstairs bedroom with two beds, were just what we wanted. Thank you
We were comfortable and cozy. Stormy Thanksgiving weekend. Perfect for a quiet family visit.
Had a great stay at the Dogwood Suite. Quiet, very clean and comfortable. We felt right at home!
This cottage was perfect for our family of 3 to attend a long weekend at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. It was quiet, clean, comfortable and only a short walk to downtown Ashland. We will be back!
Recently spent two lovely days in Ashland and had the pleasure of renting the Dogwood Suite at Tudor House. The property was right off the main street that takes you to the center of town, very clean and extremely comfortable. Designated parking spot directly behind our unit on a quiet alleyway couldn't have been more convenient. Everything we could have needed was provided and the unit itself faced a quiet backyard area with trees. Both upstairs beds were very comfy, water pressure in showers was great and the towels were noticeably softer than most hotels (the important things!). Owners Raleigh & Julie provided recommendations for nearby restaurants which was a nice plus. Would highly recommend this property. Hope to return next year for some more theatre and definitely hope to stay here again.
We love visiting Ashland, and this property was the perfect place for us to experience what it would be like to be a resident rather than a tourist. The rental is very comfortable for a family, and very convenient to walk downtown. We had no problems during our stay, and would love to stay here again for our next visit.
We enjoyed our stay over the Labor Day weekend at this lovely, quiet one bedroom unit in Ashland, OR. The apartment was clean, well outfitted and in a nice location off the main road. We could walk to the Shakespeare Festival or have a short drive. We highly recommend the unit.
Behind a wall of ivy hides a few small homes with a woodsy frontage. The bedroom is large and beds comfy with a nice ensuite bathroom with lush towels. Downstairs ape ears to be ADA compliant with large bathroom and shower. The living room is small but very functional. When the couch is folded out as a sleeper it is pretty tight but just fold it up and everything is perfect again. There are pretty colorful floral paintings on the walls. All windows are covered by both blinds and celadon green curtains. Location is great near a small park and just a lovely walk through the neighborhood to downtown theaters, shops, and restaurants. All amenities are provided. Extra towels, pillows, blankets, shampoo, soap, etc. there is even an extra roll away bed in the closet! Not that there is much place to put it downstairs but it would fit upstairs in the large bedroom if you could get it upstairs. The AC worked well and if you prefer a fan there is one over the master bed. Overall a very clean comfortable (though tiny living room) pretty place to vacation in Ashland!
After arriving at the property, I reread the description given and the description is accurate. It is just that this property did not match up to other properties I have stayed at in the Ashland area. The yard was not pleasant and was shared with the owner. The owner's back deck was also right next to your accommodation which made for a lack of privacy. The inside was clean but furnished very modestly. There was only enough living room seating for two people. The kitchen was stocked but lacked common things such as tablespoons and a cooking pan with a proper fitting lid. The walk downtown is not too bad, but it is a mile to the theater so bring comfortable walking shoes!
We loved the location, which is one mile from the town center. The apartment is well furnished for a couple (plus one kid), nice comfortable bed (full size) and a nice clean shower. Kitchen is fine, has everything you need. The owner of the property and her young children are super nice. One draw back is that the front yard could use a nice clean up. It is the place you want to sit out in the morning and it is not attractive.
This was a delightful place to stay near downtown Ashland. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The owners were friendly and responsive to requests. We will stay there again if the occasion arises.
I had a lovely stay in the Dogwood Suite with my two adult daughters. It is exactly as pictured - the bedroom is surprisingly roomy and perfect for the three of us along with the two bathrooms. The beds were quite comfortable, the kitchen adequately stocked for cooking meals and it was very clean. And perfectly located - a 15 minute walk to the theaters and downtown Ashland in one direction and a 15 minute walk to the Market of Choice in the other! The outdoor area is not private but shared with the family who owns the property (their twin boys were delightful!). I would definitely recommend this rental.
Fun, cabin-like quarters and outdoor environment. The quaint kitchen was perfect, and having a bathroom on both floors was a nice amenity. The bed was very firm but otherwise comfortable with handmade quilts and soft pillows.
This is a beautiful property, well furnished but not stocked well. This showplace needs 12 matched dishes, unchipped. What few wine glasses there were are mismatched. We went to thrift store to add to the mishmash. Blender and ice maker not working. Call to owner promised quick repair but he was unable to get service. We survived. A little TLC would earn this place a better rating.
Good location. Bathrooms nice. Beds not terribly comfy and house rather crowded. For a family of three, including two adults and one child, not enough room for all to sit down in living room. Two of the dining chairs too low for the table. Kitchen not stocked with any basics at all (e.g., salt). Cooking utensils minimal. Queen bed mattress uncomfortable. Neighborhood construction before 8:00 a.m. and neighborhood barking dogs made for poor sleep.
Thank you! The place was clean, quiet, private and relaxing. We will be back.
I don't want to share how much our kids and grandson loved their stay because we hope to rent it during the holidays!! Immaculate and sweet little cottage...we want to rent it many times for our family. Thank you to the owners for such a special place for our family. James & Caroline from Ashland
We really enjoyed the Dogwood Suite. We were quite the full house, with the grandparents and the toddler in a pack and play upstairs, and parents on the pull out couch downstairs. It worked out well, especially with the great play area and the park nearby. We appreciated the air conditioning and the two bathrooms. Most of all, we appreciated leaving our car and being able to walk everywhere. I wouldn't recommend this place for a person who loves to cook, as the kitchenette is appointed as a true rental kitchen, but we were able to make most of our meals and pick up some tasty treats at the local coop. The hosts are great. Would recommend!
My friend and mother spend a lovely weekend at the Dogwood Suite while we enjoyed plays and shopping in Ashland. The Suite was as pictured. It was clean and tidy with all the necessary items. The air conditioning worked wonderfully which was quite nice since it was 104 degrees. We were close to downtown and the University. It was very helpful to have a second bathroom downstairs. I would strongly recommend this rental.
A wonderful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the core area. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the Shakespeare Festival sites, but it's a wonderful stroll. The suite has everything you need including a full size fridge with freezer, dishes, dining table, couch and TV, 1 large bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a small deck overlooking an enclosed back yard. The bedroom is located up the stairs so make sure that's not an issue. Truly, a retreat!
The Dogwood Suite was so quiet and perfectly suited our needs. It's really close to everything. It was hot outside so we didn't walk, but you could walk to almost everything you'd need. The place was clean and the owners are really nice. The beds were comfortable as well. I'd stay here again.
This was our first visit to Ashland. We were very comfortable, and enjoyed the residential location. The suite has everything, including books, Kleenex (we had colds), electric tea kettle, etc. Nice artwork through-out. It is so much more quiet, private, and spacious than a hotel room. Only thing I missed was a pot with tight fitting lid to cook rice. The unit was key coded before our arrival, so we did not have to coordinate with the owner to get access. But owner is next door in case of any problems.
Hi Mr. Grantham, This is a bit tardy...but I wanted to let you know what a good time we had while staying at your place in Ashland. The house was beautiful and perfect for our little family. I loved the artwork and the personal touches that made the Tutor house so cozy and nice. Although it was raining...we still managed to bundle up the little one and walk downtown each day - you have a great location! We also loved having the kitchenette...and were able to prepare a few meals at home...making our trip a little more affordable!
Thank you for our second year of staying at Tudor House while we did our annual OSF visit! We love the option to eat in or out with the kitchen facilities. We also really appreciate the option to park and walk virtually everywhere in the downtown area. It's great sharing the family energy around the place! It's great that with a little bit of furniture moving, I can use my wheelchair around the room and bathroom. So appreciated! We will certainly be back!
Very sweet rental and close to downtown.
The best overall feature of the Dogwood Suite, for us was location! We were able to easily walk downtown which was excellent bonus to access Lithia Park and great shops & restaurants. The upstairs/bedroom part of the sweet was just like staying in a tree house - amazing windows and beautiful view all around. Everything was clean and very comfortable with a just-like-home feel. We will definitely be returning on our next Ashland visit!!
We have stayed in the upper room of this suite many times, before it was a suite. It is a wonderful room, with lots of windows, a comfortable double bed and a day bed, and a nice (though cozy) bathroom. The place is always very clean, and the proprietors have always provided good service. We also like the location, a little less than a mile to the theaters and a few blocks from Safeway. But we were surprised how much it was improved as a suite. Having a kitchen and sitting area was a great convenience, not just for meals, but also for having some friends over for drinks in the afternoon in the garden. We will definitely be back.
This suite was an excellent off-season bargain. Very clean and fresh, nicely decorated, comfortable queen bed and 2 well-appointed bathrooms. The upstairs bedroom was roomy with plenty of natural light. The downstairs kitchen/living area is an adequate size for 2 people, but somewhat dark. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood approximately a mile from the downtown square. The yard is a small shared area, but the suite itself felt very private. We would happily stay at Dogwood Suite again.
We enjoyed our stay and recommend the Dogwood Suite for those looking for privacy and more space/more of a kitchen than is typical for a rental at this price. The unit is clean, with modest furnishings. The owner responded to questions promptly and professionally and was very friendly when one of us happened to see him in the parking area.
We have stayed at the Tudor House as a B & B before, so we are familiar with the premises. With the expansion of his family the innkeeper required extra space, so what was formerly the Poppy Room, where we usually chose to stay, he has converted to a rental suite. Now called the Dogwood Suite, we found the separate bedroom, 2-bath with separate sitting-room/kitchen combination ideal for our 1-week stay. It is like having your own apartment. Some trivial items needed work; additional flatware, some of the china was not microwave safe, due to metallic trim, and the microwave oven was somewhat inaccessible. Otherwise, an excellent accommodation.
My wife and I had a great experience staying at the Tudor Home in the Dogwood suite. Very clean, quite and comfortable overall. Beautiful surrounding neighborhoods and close to downtown. We will be back and recommend this place to all!
We had a perfect experience with the Dogwood Suite. The owners were helpful when needed and everything was so beautifully clean and nicely decorated. Beds were comfortable and the linens were very good - loads of towels. This cottage is handicapped accessible, which was great for this particular visit. The other unit, Maple, is also very nice. Highly recommend this property.
Everybody loves Ashland - no big surprise. That often makes it hard to find good value in accommodation, though. Book this one before word gets out. Until recently, this property was operated as a B&B, and it shows in the attention to detail and cleanliness. We parked our car and walked to everything - OSF, Lithia Park, stores, restaurants. (If you're a real beer fan, try Caldera Tap House.)
