Here at the park you can fish, swim, hike, bike and even camp. There are 21 miles of trails and playgrounds here for you to enjoy as well as a nature center. If you do want to fish you can do it on the 210 acre “Lake Raven.” Motor boats are welcome on this lake. You can even swim here! One of the coolest things about this park is that you can camp here on one of the 160 campsites. This is the perfect family friendly activity here in Huntsville! “Gator Junction” is the store located within this park that sells everything from fishing equipment to groceries, souvenirs and cold drinks. This park is amazing and features more than 200 different species of birds as well as white-tailed deer, fox squirrels and even armadillos.

The Huntsville Independent School District serves the students in Huntsville as well as the city of Riverside and certain portions in central Walker County. There are 6 public elementary schools, 1 public middle school as well as 1 public high school. In addition to the public schools here there are also three private schools.
