Missouri City is located primarily in Fort Bend County with a small portion falling in Harris County. Missouri City is part of the Houston – The Woodlands – Sugar Land Metro Area. The population here as of 2015 was just under 75,000. This portion of Texas is just under 30 square miles in size. The weather in Missouri City varies from season to season. The summer months tend to get very hot and can sometimes feel like they last longer than other places in the country. Constellation Field – This field is home to the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic Baseball League. This field is located a little bit outside of Missouri City but is a major attraction to tourists as well as residents. This ball park can hold 7,500 people for baseball games and almost 10,000 for concerts. Sienna Stables – If you are looking for some horseback riding in Missouri City, look no further than Sienna Stables. This stable offers its patrons so much more than just horseback riding. You can camp here as well as hold a special event or child’s birthday party. This 160 acre sports park can be found along the Brazos River Corridor. This place is absolutely beautiful and a must see if you live in the Missouri City area. Sienna Stables also offers something called “Therapeutic Riding” which is for children suffering from various disabilities. This program is designed to help children cope with their disabilities in a truly unique way. Children who take part in therapeutic riding can see improvements in their motor skills as well as improved balance and posture. Quail Valley Golf Course – This beautiful golf course has two courses for you to choose from as well as a 25,000 square foot clubhouse that can be used for weddings and special events. In Missouri City the Fort Bend Independent School District serves The Fort Bend County where as the Harris County portion is severed by the Houston Independent School District. There are 6 elementary schools, four middle schools and five high schools. If you live within the Harris County portion of Missouri City there are two elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. There are also 13 private primary and secondary schools here in Missouri City. When it comes to college, there is the Houston Community College. This college serves the entire city.
