There is so much to say about this beautiful portion of Florida. Marco Island is located in Collier County, Florida. Marco Island is located off the coast of Southwest Florida. The population here as of 2016 was just under 18,000. According to the United States Census Bureau, Marco Island is a total is 22.8 square miles and 10.7 miles of that is water. During the summer you can expect long, very hot, wet days. The hottest part of the year here is between May and October when the daily average high is just under 90 degrees and the average low is around 72 degrees. The winters here are very short and extremely comfortable. The coldest part, if you can call it that, spans from December until the end of February when the daily average high is around 77 degrees and the average low is around 56 degrees. That is not too bad for winter.

Education in Marco Island
The District School Board of Collier County which is also known as Collier County Public Schools serves the youth of Marco Island as well as three other cities throughout the county. This district employs more than 3,200 teachers. Within this district there are 50 schools as well as two charter schools.
