Placida is a tiny community in Charlotte County, Florida on the state’s Gulf Coast. Located on the southernmost section of the Cape Haze FL peninsula, Placida boasts a population of just over 1,000. This town favorite seaside location is also adjacent to several small art galleries. The restaurant's large windows face right onto the waters of Placida Harbor making it an ideal spot to take in the breathtaking Placida sunsets.
While you’re in the area of The Fishery Restaurant, be sure to go to the nearby Margaret Albritton Art Gallery. This vibrantly colored destination is a working gallery and studio which houses original art work by Margaret and Garry Albritton. Inside you’ll find a variety of art, home décor items, beach themed articles, paintings and frames, all with a tropical theme running through them.
Schools in the Placida area are administered by the Charlotte County Public School system.
