Miami Beach is a world renowned resort city located in Miami Dade County on the southeastern coast of the state of Florida. It would be difficult to discuss the appealing aspects of Miami Beach and not lead with South Beach. As one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, there is no shortage of incredible bars, restaurants and nightlife destinations. Put simply, South Beach is where fun happens. The main strip of South Beach is Lincoln Road, known for its outdoor dining cycling rollerblading and shopping. One of the more fascinating areas of Miami Beach is the Art Deco historic district which features hotels buildings and structures all constructed between 1923 1943. Miami Beach is known for bicycles as being one of the primary modes of transportation. The city features pedestrian and cycling friendly streets as well as their own public bicycle sharing system. Schools in Miami Beach are administered by the Miami Dade County School system, the fourth largest in the United States.
