Situated in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains, Acworth is a city in Cobb County in the state of Georgia, United States. It sits along the banks of Lake Allatoona and Lake Acworth on the Etowah River. The "Lake City" is bordered by Cherokee and Bartow counties to the north and Kennesaw to the southeast. It forms a part of the Atlanta metropolitan area and covers an area of 8.3 square miles of land. The total population was estimated at 28,502 in 2016.
