Here in Queen Creek you will rarely see the temperature fall below freezing but it can creep up to 110 degrees or more during the summer months. Desert climates receive significantly less rain than other climate types. This area of Arizona experiences on average just ten inches of rain a year and no snow. That is something to keep in mind when thinking of moving to Arizona. Queen Creek became incorporated back in 1989. According to the United States Census Bureau, Queen Creek is a total of 29.20 square miles in size with a very, very small portion of that being water.


Education in Queen Creek
The Queen Creek Unified School District is the school system here in this portion of Arizona. Within this school system there are seven elementary schools. Desert Mountain, Jake Barnes, Frances Brandon-Pickett, Queen Creek, Faith Mather Sossaman, Gateway Polytechnic Academy and a yet to be named seventh school opening in July of 2019. There are two middle schools ant they are the Newell Barney and Queen Creek Middle Schools. Finally, there are two high schools. The Queen Creek High School and the Eastmark High School which is set to open in July of 2019 as well.


Points of Interest in Queen Creek
The Queen Creek Performing Arts Center – This performing arts center found right here in Queen Creek offers up a unique theatre experience. Here you will see plays based around the lives of people like Elvis as well as Patsy Cline. There are also family friendly plays that go on throughout the year such as “High School Musical,” “Annie,” “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland” and “Disney’s The Little Mermaid.”


The Barney Family Sports Complex – This indoor sports facility is the best place for indoor recreation in Queen Creek. This family friendly environment allows both kids and adults the opportunity to play things like soccer, hockey and even beach volleyball. If you live in Queen Creek, this place is going to quickly become your kids favorite hangout.


Real Estate in Queen Creek
There is a lot of real estate available here in Queen Creek but there are a few wonderful subdivisions that are worth mentioning. The “Metes and Bounds and un-recorded” areas offers homes that are quite large with most being 2,000 square feet or more! The homes here are detached, single family homes. Most homes have high end finishes such as granite counter tops and maple cabinets in the kitchen. Hardwood floors and updated appliances are also seen in many of the homes for sale here. Another great subdivision is the up and coming “Chandler Heights Ranches.” Here you will find gorgeous, large homes found on very spacious lots that are upgraded and priced aggressively. There is also a large amount of vacant land that is just begging to be developed on. You can purchase anywhere from an acre of land up to 4 acres or more.
