The winters here are very short and extremely comfortable. The District School Board of Collier County which is also known as Collier County Public Schools serves the youth of Marco Island as well as three other cities throughout the county. This district employs more than 3,200 teachers. Within this district there are 50 schools as well as two charter schools.
