Named for a picturesque grove of locust trees that could be noticed across the area, Locust Grove is a small city in Henry County in the state of Georgia. This community, which has witnessed significant growth in population over the past couple of decades, is located at the southeastern fringe of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Locust Grove grew as an important distribution center for farm products, such as cotton and peaches. It had cotton gins and several warehouse in the earlier years. The first store in the community was erected on Main Street in 1870.
