Franklin is in Williamson County, Tennessee and is also the county seat. If you were to look on a map you would see that Franklin is located roughly 21 miles South of Nashville. Franklin is also one of the principal cities of the Nashville Metro area and Middle Tennessee. At the time of the 2010 census the population here was 62,487. In 2016 there was a non-census related poll taken that showed that the population here had grown to approximately 75,000. Once students finish eighth grade they will attend the Williamson County School System for high school. The Franklin School District has five elementary schools as well as three middles schools and serves close to 4,000 students per year. The Williamson County School district is quite large with 47 schools in total. Each year more than 1,000 new students enroll. This school district recently opened three new schools to help with the growing population. There are ten high schools within this district but if you live in Franklin, your child will be designated to either Centennial or Franklin High.

Pinkerton Park –

One of the coolest things about this park in 2018 Pinkerton Park debuted something called “Storybook Trail.” This trail has an open air book along the walking trail about forest animals for the parents to read to their children as they walk.
