Casa Grande which is Spanish for “Big House” is in Pinal County, Arizona. Casa Grande is smack dab in between Phoenix and Tucson. Back in the year 1880 the population here was just 33. It was not until the 1930’s that the population here finally reached more than a thousand people. By the 1950’s the population here in Casa Grande exploded to more than 4000 people. Then in the year 2000 the population here reached a little more than 25,000 and continued to grow ever since then. One of the main employers here in Casa Grande is “The Promenade as Casa Grande.” This outdoor mall is on a 100 acre plot of land that was once undeveloped desert and is more than a million square feet in size. It was built back in 2007 and then in 2017 it received a facelift when upgrades such as repainting, new entrances and exits and a fountain were done to enhance the shopping experience. Some of the other major employers in the area are Casa Grande Elementary School District, Banner Casa Grande Medical Center and the Walmart Distribution Center.
