Monroe is a small city in Walton County Georgia, nestled between Atlanta and the state capital, Athens. Located approximately 46 miles east of Atlanta, Monroe covers a land area of just 10.5 miles with a population approaching 15,000. Monroe’s charm comes from its paradoxical community identity. The Center features a small public use room for up to 38 seated guests, a large public use room which holds 76 seated guests, an auditorium which will hold 82 - 107 plus guests and will include access to the downstairs kitchen.
Monroe is home to Georgia’s only year-round skydiving club east of Atlanta. Many of Monroe’s residents like to get their adrenaline rush through this thrilling recreational pastime. Skydive Monroe is dedicated to teaching sound skydiving skills through the most advanced methods of training which are Accelerated Freefall and the Tandem Progression.
